Caves of Missouri
May 25-26, 2012

Missouri is known as having one of the most cave-rich areas in the country…the Missouri Ozarks. Join us and the Missouri Speleological Survey as we collect scientific surveys as part of a statewide survey project. Fees include one night lodging, breakfast and lunch. Dinners on May 18 and May 19 are on your own.

Who: Adults 16 and Older
Times: May 18 at 5pm to May 19 at 10pm. Bus leaves promptly at 5 pm on May 18.
Location: Meet at the back of Science Center's main parking lot on 5050 Oakland.
Price: $155 adult /$140 adult Science Center and AAA members

Supply List:
Small backpack without zippers
2 LED headlamps and Small handheld LED flashlight
Gloves, overnight clothes, toiletries, and change of clothes
Boots with good tread
Helmets (provided by SLSC)
Balaclava or neck gaiter
Polypropylene synthetic garmet
Light coverall outer shell

Tentative Itinerary

May 25
5:00PM: Depart SLSC for Rolla, Mo
7:00PM: Arrive at hotel in Rolla and enjoy dinner
May 26
7:00AM: Breakfast
8:00AM: Drive to cave location
9:00AM - 4:00PM:Intro to caves, begin cave biologic and geologic surveys, lunch in cave
5:00PM: Leave cave
6:00PM: Dinner and return to St Louis
