Glacier National Park

Beautiful lakes, abundant wildlife and breathtaking mountains are the backdrop of our nation's 10th national park. Join Science Center staff and park scientists as we explore the park's geologic history and spend time in the field studying the effects of climate change on the glaciers and local wildlife.

Price: $2,875/including airfare
 $2,775/including airfare for Science Center & AAA Members

Deposit: $500/person at time of registration.

Fees Include: Airfare, lodging, ground transportation,  three meals daily, fees and supplies. Non-flight options are available

Registration Deadline: May 29, 2012. University  Credit is available.
Tentative Itinerary

Day 1: Depart St. Louis for Kalispell, Montana.
Day 2: Driving tour of Logan Pass.Visit Logan Pass and St. Mary's Visitor Centers, hike local trails and visit St. Mary Lake. Evening presentation on Geology of Glacier National Park.
Day 3: Explore Lake McDonald Lodge area in the morning. Then hike Avalanche Trail to Avalanche Lake enjoy lunch on at the lake. Return to Apgar Village.
Day 4: Spend the day training with staff from Crown Continent Research Learning Center. Evening presentation on Glacier National Park.
Day 5: Spend the day collecting data on the effects of climate change on wildlife in the park.
Day 6: Explore area around West Glacier in the morning. Afternoon rafting adventure with dinner on the banks of the Middle Flathead River.
Day 7: Return to St. Louis.
