Mississippi Lock & Dam
October 27, 2012

Every year tons of commercial products move up and down the Mississippi River. Ever wonder how the river is managed to maintain this kind of boat traffic and what kind of effects our use of the river has on the river ecology? Join Science Center staff as we travel to the Melvin Price Lock and Dam to explore how the river is managed and how the lock and dam system works. We will also assist the National Great Rivers Research & Education Center in collecting data on the 'Mighty Mississippi'. Fees include travel only. Please bring sack lunch and drink.
