Eligibility
Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the entire journey. For family expeditions, children must be the minimum age indicated in the trip itinerary. The Saint Louis Science Center reserves the right in its sole discretion to accept, decline to accept, or remove any participant on a Saint Louis Science Center Travel Program.
Deposit/Refund Policy
To reserve a space with the Travel Programs of the Saint Louis Science Center, payment in full must be received at the time of reservation of any Science Around Town program, a $500 per person deposit is required for our Domestic Discoveries program, and a $1,000 per person deposit is required for trips with our International Explorations program. Payment for a trip must be received at least 60 days prior to departure; otherwise, the Science Center reserves the right to cancel your reservation. A full refund excluding a $200 administration fee is available if the cancellation is made more than 60 days prior to departure date. If the cancellation is made less than 60 days prior to departure date no refund can be issued. Any payments received for trips cancelled less than 60 days prior to departure can be applied to future trips. In the unlikely event that the Science Center finds it necessary to cancel a trip, a full refund will be provided.
Single Rates
All pricing is based on double occupancy. A limited number of single rooms/cabins are available
at extra cost on a first come first serve basis.
Health
You must be in good physical and mental health. Any physical condition requiring special attention, diet or treatment must be reported in writing on registration forms. Activities will not be rigorous but participants should be ready to be active. The Science Center is ready and able to work with most abilities.
Smoking Policy
The Saint Louis Science Center is a smoke-free institution and requires that there be no smoking during the visits to local institutions, while participating in group activities or in the vehicles for transportation. Smoking is allowed in designated areas only.

What is Included
Program fees are all-inclusive and include all lodging, food, transportation, supplies, guides, tours and administrative fees. Options are available for those who wish to provide their own transportation. Fees include one luggage item per person. Depending on the airlines, there may be fees for additional luggage. Any fees beyond the first bag are the responsibility of the participant.
What is NOT Included
The program does not include:
- Passport and visa fees
- Transfers and baggage handling for those not participating in group flights
- Airline baggage fees
- Cancellations and baggage insurance
- Optional excursions
- Room service
- Movie rentals
- Personal expenses, such as laundry, telephone calls, alcoholic beverages and any other items not specifically noted as included
- Travel Insurance
